Let me preface this with: I am not a chef. I am not even a sous chef. I don't think that I would even be trusted with the simplest prep work in any fancy restaurant.
That being said...
I am all about easy and cheap cooking. I detest recipes with 9,000 ingredients or that require effort in general. Haha! This is one of the easiest and cheapest things that I make: Crock Pot Beans and Ham.
It requires no skills, no work, and hardly any money.
How I Prepare My Beans Shown in Video Below:
Ingredients:
Dry Beans of Your Choice (Enough to fill about 1/4th to 1/5th of the crock pot dry)
Water
A Smoked Center Cut Ham Steak like the Smithfield AnyTime one
----
I love making a big bowl of these to have in the fridge for the week. You can also take portions and freeze them. They reheat very well. Now, I got a mighty need for some more beans.
