CVS Trip: Well Over 90% savings


Yes, that's right! I got all that stuff you see above for $2.79 (subtotal, with tax $8.14 ugh...so much tax in this state).  I think I am finally figuring out the CVS madness!

So I did this in two transactions:

Transaction #1




The Goods:

(4) Nivea Lip Care Items on sale 2/$5 = $10
 - used: (2) $3/2 Nivea Lip Care (2/9 RP)

(1) Got2B Styler $5.99
 - used: $2/1 (2/9 RP)

(2) Nivea Lotions $6 ea = $12
 - used: (2) $2/1 nivea lotion  (2/9 RP)

(2) Crest Pro-Health Mouthwashes (500ml) 3.99ea = $7.98
 - used: (1) $1.50/2 crest mouth rinse 458ml+ (p&g brand sampler booklet)

(1) Softsoap pump hand soap clearance $.99
 - used: (1) $1/1 CVS coupon

(2) Rimmel Nail Polish BOGO1/2off (2.99, 1.49 = $4.48)
 - used: (2) $1 off 1 Rimmel Product printable (redplum.com)

(1) Fergie Nail Polish ($3.69)
(1) Wet n Wild Polish BOGO1/2off ($.99)
 - used: (2) $1/1 Wet n Wild or Fergie Product (2/9 SS)

 - used: $6 off $30 beauty CVS coupon
 - used: 20 ECBs

Subtotal: $.62 (plus killer tax: $3.95), received 11 ECBs (3 from nivea lotion, 2 from got2b, 6 from the crest)


Transaction #2



The goods:

(2) Nivea Body Wash $4ea = $8
 - used: $3/2 nivea bodywash (2/9 RP)
 - used: $1.50/2 Body Washes CVS coupon

(1) CVS Healthy Hands Lotion $3.19
(1) CVS Advanced Healing Ointment $4.99
(1) CVS Intense Repair Cream $4.49
 - used: $3/$10 CVS brand lotion CVS coupon

- used: 11 ECBS (from transaction #1)

Subtotal: $2.17 (with tax $4.19), received 3 ECBs (will get 5-10 from beauty club for these trans.)

Pro tip:  If you are doing separate transactions, or shopping with someone else, put a basket or two inside the cart to keep your junk separated.  I even paper clip my separate coupons together and all that.  (Those CVS carts are so small, too!)

This is coming from a couponer who has worked as a cashier more than anyone ever should.  (Cashiering eats at your soul.  I don't recommend it for soft-hearted folks. haha)  Don't go to the register without "your ducks all in a row."  Just don't.
